Singapore 1 February – The Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA) and Malaria No More, Japan (MNMJ) today announced the formal signing of a MOU with the goal of accelerating the elimination of malaria across the Asia-Pacific region.
（シンガポール、2月1日）アジア太平洋リーダーズ・マラリア・アライアンス（APLMA）とMalaria No More Japanはアジア太平洋地域におけるマラリア制圧を促進するためにパートナーシップ契約を締結したことを発表した。
The collaboration will enhance the existing partnership between the two groups by building leadership and advocacy for accelerated malaria elimination. MNMJ will support APLMA to harness private sector support and mobilize attention and resources.
本契約は、リーダーシップ育成とマラリア制圧を目指すアドボカシー活動の構築を通じて、両団体間の既存のパートナーシップ関係を強化する目的のもの。MNMJはAPLMAが民間セクターからの支援を拡大させ、意識喚起、資源調達の支援を実施する。
MNMJ will provide this support through an advocacy representative with existing links and relationships with the private sector that will be seconded to the newly established APLMA secretariat in Singapore.
具体的にはAPLMAが新たにシンガポールに設置した事務所で民間セクターに精通したMNMJのアドボカシー代表を駐在させるもの。
In addition, MNMJ and APLMA will coordinate and collaborate on a variety of events including briefings, and meetings to advocate for and increase commitment to tackling bottlenecks and challenges in the region related to malaria elimination.
さらに、MNMJとAPLMAは記者会見やマラリア制圧に関連したアジア太平洋地域における課題について代弁し、民間セクターのコミットメントを増進するための会合などを協働で行う予定。
The MOU will be in force for one year and was signed by APLMA Executive Director Benjamin Rolfe and MNMJ Executive Director Tatsuo Mizuno.
覚書は1年間で締結され、APLMA事務局長のベンジャミン・ロルフとMalaria No More Japan事務局長水野達男の間で交わされた。
The Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance（APLMA）とは
2013年 第8回 東アジア首脳会議（EAS）にて発足。2014年には日本を含む18か国首脳が2030年までにマラリア制圧を目標とすることに合意し、国境を越えた地域の取組みが始まった。設立当初からマニラのアジア開発銀行に置かれた事務所を2017年1月よりシンガポールへ移転した。
