An Evening of Dialogue: Walking Together Toward Health and Peace with Dr. Djimdé

Malaria No More Japan is pleased to host a special reception in honor of Dr. Abdoulaye Djimdé of Mali, a distinguished biomedical researcher and recipient of the 5th Hideyo Noguchi Africa Prize. The event will focus on key themes including infectious disease control, climate change and health, and international collaboration with Africa.

This informal gathering offers a rare opportunity for members of parliament, civil society, private sector leaders, researchers, and government officials to engage in open dialogue and explore possibilities for future partnerships.

The reception will include remarks by Dr. Djimdé himself and interactive booths by companies and organizations working in global health and development.

◆ About Dr. Abdoulaye Djimdé

Dr. Djimdé is a leading researcher from Mali known for his groundbreaking work in malaria diagnosis and treatment. He is also a strong advocate for strengthening research infrastructure and fostering young scientists across Africa.

◆ About the Hideyo Noguchi Africa Prize

Established by the Government of Japan, the Hideyo Noguchi Africa Prize honors individuals and organizations for outstanding achievements in the fields of medical research and healthcare services in Africa. Dr. Djimdé was selected as the 2025 laureate for his contributions to infectious disease control and capacity building on the continent.
